I went and watched the movie during the theatrical release, going in blind and all that, expecting a tear jerker. While Maquia did have its moments, and I did shed a few tears, overall I was underwhelmed. It’s definitely a hit or miss anime movie for a lot of people, i’d say. It’s still a good movie though.
